Request for Manual Review of Rejected Access (NVIDIA Kimodo)

#290
by rimenmic - opened

Hello Meta Llama Team,

My access request for meta-llama/Meta-Llama-3-8B-Instruct was recently rejected. I would like to respectfully request a manual reconsideration, or for the request to be reset so that I can submit any additional information that may be required.

I am evaluating NVIDIA's open-source Kimodo motion-generation system for use in a professional game-development workflow.

Kimodo requires Meta-Llama-3-8B-Instruct as the base model for its LLM2Vec text encoder. In this setup, Llama is used only as a frozen text encoder to convert natural-language motion descriptions into embeddings consumed by Kimodo's separate motion-generation model.

To clarify the intended use:

I am not using Llama as a chatbot or public-facing language model.
I am not fine-tuning or modifying the Llama model.
I will not redistribute or share the model weights.
I will not expose the model through a public API or service.
The model will run locally on my development workstation.
Its sole purpose in this evaluation is to provide the text embeddings required by NVIDIA Kimodo.

I intend to comply fully with the Meta Llama 3 Community License and Acceptable Use Policy.

If my original request was rejected because the intended use was unclear or some information was incomplete, I would appreciate the opportunity to clarify it or submit a corrected request.
